I remember the Rocky Mountains bright and clear with a few clouds around the highest, as you show them.

I love the Rockys, too. We had several wonderful family vacations in the mountains when our children were in their middle years, in Colorado and Wyoming.June Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01723016934182800437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2343439372519556254.post-3054656517668174232011-06-16T12:16:03.942-04:002011-06-16T12:16:03.942-04:00Gorgeous!

Sometimes it's a guilty pleasure, sometimes not. The first art show that made a real impression on me was a big show of Bierstadt's work at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth in 1972. I still have the exhibition catalog.Counterlighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14345956180434795401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2343439372519556254.post-29575431868363949602011-06-15T17:21:28.520-04:002011-06-15T17:21:28.520-04:00Oh, how lovely! AS IF photography---or photorealism---could ever completely replace it???

FWIW: a year ago today, I was IN the Rocky Mountains (Wyoming), in my "camping move" from Michigan to California. Damn, this year has passed fast!
