Am I correct in remembering that the street names that have "borgo" as part of the name, such as Borgo Pinti, were streets that led to gates in the wall? <br /><br />Before I saw that you had posted again on Florence, I posted <a href="http://thewoundedbird.blogspot.com/2010/05/cover-it-up.html" rel="nofollow">a picture of my friend and me</a> standing in front of the statue of Neptune in the Piazza de la Signoria.
