Jesse Helms is Dead.

I hope David Wojnarowicz, Robert Mapplethorpe, and thousands upon thousands of AIDS dead from the 1980s and 90s are there to greet him in the afterlife.
My Christian conscience says "Grant to the Departed Eternal Rest."

My real feelings are "good riddance to bad rubbish."

  3. I am not a vindictive person at all, so I am surprised by what I feel in my heart regarding Helms and his passing.

    It ain't pretty.

  4. Did he have to die on the 4th of July?

Our local news last night referred to him as a champion of "states' rights". How soon we forget the buzz words of the past.

  5. "State rights" is a byword for legal discrimination.
