Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

The Citizen Kane of pop music just said "rosebud."

  1. Michael was an adorable and talented little boy. He grew into a gifted young man, and then, as the years passed, he became one of the unfortunates of the earth. I pray he's at peace now.

  2. I wonder what will sneak under the radar in the coming weeks. The media will be fixated on Michael Jackson's Viking funeral for the next 2 weeks.

  3. Last night, I thought I'd watch the news. I should have known better. The news was people standing outside the hospital waiting for Michael's body to be moved to the funeral home.

  4. Our commercial news was extended with the first 25 minutes on Jackson. I found other things to watch. The national broadcaster was more realistic devoting the first 6 minutes. I agree with Mimi's first comment above.

  5. I also agree with Mimi's first comment.

I was never really a fan, but I'm sorry he didn't get that opportunity for a comeback, to remind the world of the brilliance that made him famous, instead of the tabloid freak show he became over the last 10 years.

  6. I wonder what the comeback would have been like especially considering the pain relieving injections which are more than likely the cause of his death. We all age (don't I know it) even those who were dance geniuses. I am never attracted to the continual returns of great names of the past. Watching them now is a bit pathetic, I prefer to listen or watch electronically the great performances the ygave when at their prime.
