I was a priest in the diocese of Wyoming but left four years before this happened. At a later General Convention when I was a delegate, we wore buttons that said: "I remember Matthew Shepherd." Matthew's parish priest who did his funeral said to me "I really remember Matthew Shepherd." The not so nice folk from Kansas were at the funeral. They were also at that General Convention. We were told to ignore them but I couldn't help myself. I went over to one and whispered something in his ear.
No anonymous comments will be accepted. If you wish to say something dissenting or unpleasant, then do so. But, you must identify yourself either with your own name or a fake name. "Anonymous" comments will be deleted without exception.
I stand by my comments. I expect you to do likewise.
