We're Not Backing Down!

These 2 people didn't back down, even in the face of hatred that eventually killed them.

Neither should we.

Harvey Milk

Fannyann Eddy

Fannyann Eddy founded the first lesbian and gay association in her native Sierra Leone. She campaigned for freedom and dignity for gays and lesbians tirelessly and courageously in her native country and at the United Nations.
In 2004, she was brutally gang-raped and murdered.

I'd put these two far above all the religious hierarchs in all the world. They walked that Via Dolorosa all the way to the end, and on behalf of us all.

We can honor their memory by making sure that the West does not ignore another massacre in Africa, this time of gays and lesbians in Uganda.
I did my part and wrote a letter to the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, Katherine Jefferts-Schori. You can too.

We can continue their work here in the United States, refusing to give up or give in as the haters continue to use ballot initiatives to roll back our rights.

If they had ballot initiatives in the 1960s, our President would be riding in the back of the bus and the Jim Crow laws would still be in force.

  2. Bus?
What, those new fangled, infernal machines of the devil?
No, you'd still be going around in a horse and cart like the Amish and your president would be too busy picking dat cotton to run a country.
