Haiti

As though that country hasn't suffered enough, the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere suffered its worst quake in 200 years yesterday. As dawn breaks, it looks like the damage and the death toll are catastrophic.

Since this website truly believes pictures are worth a thousand words, take a look at the pictures on the BBC this morning.

The presidential palace is being described as "damaged." It looks more destroyed to me.

If you can help, here is the Red Cross Website, and the site for Episcopal Relief and Development,

  1. When I heard the news last night I was so shocked. Thanks for sites for both the ER and D and the Red Cross.

  2. The (Episcopal) Sisters of Saint Margaret have been posting information on the state of the TEC there. Evidently the wife of the Bishop is injured. He's okay. The Catholic Archbishop has been killed.
