Red vs. Blue: Who Subsidizes Who?

It might not be what you think.

Robert Reich commends Rick Perry's proposed plan for revenue sharing.  It would benefit blue states far more than most red ones.

For every dollar of tax money that Alabama sends to Washington, they get back $1.66.  Idaho gets $1.21.  Mississippi gets $2.21.  Wyoming gets $1.11.

Rick Perry's Texas gets back only 94 cents on every dollar they send to Washington.  What an outrage!

But New York only gets 79 cents back on its dollar.  Those Hollywood liberals in California only get 78 cents back.  And Taxachusetts gets only 82 cents back.

So who's subsidizing who?
