Counterlight, I'm not suing you; I'm laughing and loving the Three Stooges. How can such repetitiousness be so funny? Timing is how, and few mastered timing as well as TTS.
I will forever bless the memory of the Three Stooges. They helped me to survive my first year of grad school at Washington University in St. Louis where I got my art history degree. After a whole week of giving myself crash courses in classical and medieval studies to keep up with a killer seminar in mythology in Renaissance and Baroque art, plowing and plodding through everything from Boethius to Ovid to Tasso, Friday night with the Stooges was a blessed relief.
In my childhood, a good deal of which was spent at the movies, when the screen lit up with one of the short comedies of The Three Stooges, the kids in the theater went wild.
You know, I'm so grateful for growing up with the movies of the 1940s. The films formed me in so many ways that were good.
