Yes, and, at the same time, the St. Paul's debacle is one and the same with the issues raised by the campers. At the core, the issue is the challenge to the undeserved privilege of entrenched power.

Do bishops and cathedral deans deserve their ecclesiatical power? Are they accountable to anyone this side of the Last Judgement? If not, why not?
ReplyDeleteI can't speak for the C of E, but here, bishops and deans are accountable to God and to the General Convention, and to their diocesan conventions. Only God has absolute authority. Everyone else is subject to legislative review.
