An automaton of San Diego de Alcala commissioned by King Phillip II from the great clockmaker Juanelo Turriano as a votive offering for the recovery of the Crown Prince from a serious injury.

This video has no sound, and the quality is shaky, but it is extraordinary.
This is a replica of the original built by John Hiller for the Smithsonian Institution where Turriano's automaton now resides.
