  2. They must have both been about 16 when they got married! They looked so young then, and still look pretty good now, eh?

    Love that Double Happiness! Does it only apply to 50 years?

  3. As far as I know, which isn't much, Double Happiness is simply a traditional Chinese marriage symbol.

  4. "a dragon and a phoenix"

    G'pere had BETTER be a phoenix, when he lives with...

    {JCF-channelling-MP. Sorry, Mimi, I couldn't resist! ;-X}

    All blessings and happiness to y'all!

  5. What a great symbol. Most marriages need to rise from the ashes on occasion. And such a nice tribute to a great couple.

  6. Many thanks, Counterlight. You could not have chosen a better symbol. Tom never saw a Chinatown that he didn't like. New York, San Francisco, wherever there is a Chinatown outside of China, Tom heads there, and not just for one visit. I'll do a screen shot and crop of your post and give it to him as an anniversary card from you.

  7. Next time y'all visit SF's Chinatown, we MUST do a meet-up! :-)

  8. Doug, a print of your post hangs on our refrigerator. I thought you'd like to know.

    JCF, we'll meet you in Chinatown one day.
