According to legend, the Golem is still there in the attic of the Altneue Schul in Prague just waiting...
Actually, I found the clip gripping and scary.

ReplyDeleteI also find this clip gripping and scary. Before the days of special effects and teenage slasher pics, moviemakers had to rely on (gasp!) imagination. That's why I love old German horror pictures. Max Shreck in Nosferatu remains the scariest of all vampires, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the YouTube entry, the composer is someone commissioned for this edition of the film. I'm not familiar with him, but he's there listed on the YouTube posting.
Some days it's Rabbi Loew. Others, it's Dr. Frankenstein and the monster gets loose.
