Congratulations Bishop Mary Douglas Glasspool!

The Priesthood of the Virgin Mary, by the Amiens Master, 1437

"The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone, and it is marvelous in our eyes." -- Psalm 118

UPDATE:
I looked up the painting. It's a panel painting in the Louvre.

  1. Anyone up for a world wide Episcopal Communion with a mission in London?

  2. I woke up this morning to fantastic news: “L.A. diocese elects first lesbian bishop” on the front page of the L.A. Times! Finally a reason to be proud that I live in Los Angeles. Welcome to L.A., Bishop Glasspool!

  3. If +Rowan and +John keep throwing the Churches moral authority away the Queen and Parliament may just invite us to replace the CoE...apparently, creating a good example of living healthfully at The Body of Christ, isn´t as popular with the boys as sins of omission and/or degradation on command (remembering Bishop Robinsons non invitation to The Lambeth Conference and recally the Gafconners avoiding the place entirely because Lambeth was corrupted). Yikes, it´s a walk-in!

  4. (It's "the LORD's doing", too! ;-) )

I'm going to be in LA (area) for Christmas: what a great time and place for offering thanksgiving! :-D

  5. Furthermore: that's a great pic, Doug. What do the anti-WO yahoos say about it?

  6. I don't think the anti-WOs know about it. They don't think much about "culture" anyway. It's all about the Bible or Magisterium. I doubt they would have the patience for anything as untidy as art -- of any period.
