It's not just another Hall of Fame, it is THE Hall of Fame.
I did a recent post on the Hall of Fame and the adjacent Gould Memorial Library.
What an irony that the Hall of Fame should be forgotten!
The person who comes most to my mind these days when I think about the Hall of Fame is the late George WS Trow and his great 1981 meditation on fame, celebrity, television, consumerism, and meaning, Within the Context of No Context. I read it when it was first published in The New Yorker, and it had a profound influence on me.
