Harry Reid stuck his foot in his mouth ... last year.
Meanwhile, Republicans and their right wing megaphones can say the most bigoted racist crap and never get called on it. I suppose no one expects supremacists to have manners.
Another group that isn't the least bit sorry are the maharajas of the financial industry. Their gambling habits have destroyed the savings and livelihoods of millions and put this country on an express train to banana republic status. They are about to pay themselves record bonuses for their looting and pillaging spree with scarcely a peep of protest from the two political parties on their payroll. They will certainly do it again, and be rewarded with another taxpayer funded bail out making us the first nation in history with a publicly subsidized plutocracy.
"The situation is hopeless, but not serious," -- Viennese proverb.
I just cringed when I heard what he said. Having worked with the Senator for four years, I knew him to be a very gentle soul. He's very down to earth. There's probably truth in what he said for those who were on the edge when voting for Obama, but to say it aloud in public.... oh, Harry.
ReplyDeleteAmen, dear Brother!
ReplyDeleteHarry chose a poor set of words, but, as one of his colleagues said, he does not have a racist bone in his body. This is much ado about nothing. That the Republicans want to destroy Harry Reid is the real story.
