Happy Valentine's Day Everybody!

Fire up your bongs, here comes a Busby Berkeley wet dream; more wet chorus girls than you could shake a hose at.

I realize that I'm a gay man, but girls just seem prettier back then. They look to me like lovely healthy athletic girls, and not like the skinny teenaged boys with big tits that inhabit today's glamour pages.

and...I realize I´m a Gay man...but, Nelsen Edy certainly didn´t light my fire as much as ALL that water ballet did!

Nelson Eddy does nothing for me either, and neither does Ruby Keeler.

Nelson Eddy never did much for me, either. But I do love these oldies. This one was before even my time. Esther Williams was the water ballet lady in my day. That is extraordinary performance, staging, and cinematography.

The girls were prettier then. They looked like human beings. Thanks, Counterlight. That was a quick 10 minutes delightfully spent.

Good Lord, Ruby Keeler, I saw her on Broadway in that show with all the famous ¨vintage¨ star ladies...can´t remember the name at this moment...could have been in the late 60´s or sometime in the 70´s...I was a not-so-innocent Retail Buyer (with free tickets from manufacturers) in New York for ¨market¨ at the time.

BTW...yes, the women were MUCH prettier (however I think the men are better looking now..all the leading man types).

I agree. I never quite understood the appeal of Clark Gable or Leslie Howard. Too bad Brad Pitt and Keanu Reeves are such wooden actors. They certainly have the looks. And the really good looking men who can really act have this bad habit of dying too early like Heath Ledger.
