Counterlight said...: SOPA would put this blog out of business. The whole intellectual property rights thing has already had an impact on higher ed putting materials behind pay-walls and making them unavailable to students and faculty. It has also had a deadening effect on scientific research and development with corporations rushing to put patents on new discoveries and locking them away in lawyer-guarded vaults of trade secrets never to see the light of day, or of critical testing and further research.; January 18, 2012 at 9:46 AM
