Oh Noooooooooooooooooo!

The Liberace Museum is closing!
I've never been to Las Vegas, but that was the one thing I really wanted to see there.

The maestro makes a spectacular entrance in Las Vegas in 1981 driven by chauffeur/boyfriend Scott Thorson:

I can't believe that the Lady Gaga generation has never heard of him.
What a sad new world!

You really had us scared with that headline!

(I just see the headlines on my blog list feed.)

I predict that we will all survive.

I have been once to the museum and had a blast. (SEE - The World's LARGEST Rhinestone!!) I guess the style of kitch and camp no longer draws the crowds it once did. The museum really needed some pizzaz, even 15 years ago when we were there. Somebody should put some money into it and create a son et lumière thing around it, and take it on the road.

Maybe we can sneak off and see the place one more time before it's all packed away.

Think of the bargains you can pick up at the fire sale.

Wow. Well, I read this first on Counterlight! I can't believe that the Lady Gaga generation has never heard of him.

What a sad new world!
So true, but I am not surprised.

I take some small comfort in the knowledge that if Liberace was alive today he would be far too divine to heard of Lady Ga Ga.
