And that other guy...what's his name...Phelps (no! not Fred!),... Michael!...Michael Phelps, he's pretty wonderful too, as is the aptly named Sain Bolt.

I think young people generally are pretty wonderful. Smart, kind, well behaved, no hang ups...

But being a teacher's child I have heard nothing but prejudice about youngsters...

Stupid (you can see it in their eyes), un-teachable, don't want to learn anything - and so on.

I am not free from it yet.

Goran,

As a low-level perfesser, I agree, though I have to work to remind myself of that sometimes.
I look out at a lecture hall full of dull stares, and there are times when I just want to give up and go home and pull the sheets over my head.
Then, I talk to some of them, and it can be very rewarding and instructive. In my moments of frustration, I try to remember how I felt when I was young. I also remember how much (a lot) that I have learned from my students.

My God, that picture during the dive! He looks like he's flying. He is a beautiful young falcon!

I love the photo of Mr. Mitcham biting the gold. When I see this photo I see a little boy who's gotten exactly what he wanted on Christmas Morning. GOod on him! He makes it look so easy.
