I'm still for the Public Option, and I whole-heartedly support the House Progressives in their game of political brinkmanship to keep it in the bill. I'm pleased that they are standing their ground. They may even force the President's hand if his endorsement of the public option goes any softer. He's not in much of a position to oppose it since he's the one who first raised the idea in his campaign. I don't see how the rest of the bill will work without it.
Obama plays his cards, but the House Progressives have some of the aces.
Politics is so messy... like everything else human.
