Holiday for Strings

The "No more caffeine for you!" version:

This version is even sillier than the one by Spike Jones:

I love Spike Jones.  So sue me!:

My favorite, a version by Glenn Miller (or more likely, his Orchestra). I have no idea what the weird Japanese animation has to do with it.

Time to send the shades of David Rose and Red Skelton back to Valhalla.

Now wasn't that nice?

You're welcome!

I like Spike Jones, too. I remember the movie shorts. All the kids loved him and we'd scream with delight when a Spike Jones short came on.

You could have left Welk out. Just sayin'. And Welk should have left the accordion to the Cajuns.

The Miller is the best.

Yes, Mimi, you're probably right about the Welk, just too ridiculous even for satire.

I just love Spike Jones, but then I also love the Three Stooges and The Marx Brothers. I enjoy those old cartoons by Tex Avery and Chuck Jones even more at age 51 than I did at age 11. And Mel Brooks is a god to me.
My sense of humor is about as wry, dry, and elliptical as a train wreck.
