Haiti's Lost Art

Mural from Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Port-au-Prince

The famous murals in Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Port au Prince may make a partial comeback. There is now an international effort to rescue Haiti's art, and to restore what survived the earthquake.

If there is any silver lining at all to the earthquake catastrophe, it will be renewed attention to Haiti's rich, and largely unknown, artistic heritage. Haiti could return to international attention, not as a desperate charity case, but as a brilliant and neglected cultural treasure.

Exactly...Haiti is the land of brilliant passion and open ended creativity...it´s in the development of those natural resources...natural, in the human sense after the *walls* came tumbling down there is a blank canvas to paint.
